Heidi Gan [9]

When asked why she joined Team Darfur elite swimmer Heidi Gan replied:

"I'd read about the crisis in a political magazine and was shocked and appalled at both the situation and how it was being dealt with by the Sudanese Government. I was also baffled by the seeming lack of interest and action other countries have taken in the situation. I believe that by informing and educating more and more people of the situation in Darfur, the situation can be brought to the attention of the powers-that-be that are capable of putting pressure on the Sudanese government and putting a stop to the crisis. We have a duty as fellow human beings to help others in need.

Thanks to Team Darfur for the great initiative involved in this organization. I hope that my efforts along with everybody else's who joins will help make a difference."
