In 2000, Gidon won his first Israeli National championship in the 200-meter sprint, tying the Israeli record with a time of 20.89. In 2001, Gidon won his first Israel National Championship in the 100-meter dash and defended his 200-meter win. At the Sydney games, he competed in the Men’s 200 Meter event and finished fifth in his heat.
Omri Hazor, a windsurfer from Israel, recently joined Team Darfur.
